ACTIVITIES OF EXTENSION CENTRES
The Institute has opened extension centers at Mundgod and Dandeli with a view to provide integrated approach to develop villages/town through people's participation and promotion Self Help Group activities. Main Center is at Haliyal.
 
DANDELI
 
Dandeli extension center which was set up on 31st March 2007 is engaged in promotion of SHG activities, Rural Development Training's and IGP Activities. SHG's sponsored by MYRADA under KUDSEMP scheme have been officially handed over to our Dandeli center. Owing to closure of some a lot of Industries in Dandeli, people were facing unemployment problem. Thus hence there is a good scope for IGP activities in Dandeli

"Manegondu Mara" Programme Inauguration of
Makkala Jagruti Sangha
 
Dandeli Extension Center of the Institute has formed a unique children's group viz"Makkala Jagruti Sangha". This group has enrolled over 90 primary and High school students to help them develop and become good citizens of India.
 
SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS
 
• Conducted 5 IGP training programs on Home product preparation, Bamboo stick    Making and agarbatti making for the benefit of 147 women.

• Formed a children unique group called "Makkala Jagruthi Sangha" for the benefit of    97primary and high school students.

• Conducted a unique Vanamahostva Programme viz "Manegondu Mara".

• A unique training programme for Auto drivers viz." Khshema" Training was    conducted.

• Formed/Taken over 257 SHGs in a short span of one year.
 
MUNDGOD
 
The Mundgod center was opened on 2nd September 2005. Mundgod is one of the taluks of Uttar Kannada district. The Center has taken initiative in promotion of SHGs, providing various Rural Development Training programs for the benefit of the rural folk
