In its continuous bid to empower women, the Trust has set up Self-help Groups of Women through its Institute D-RUDESTI. However, income generation activities in Rural areas appeared to be very remote. Such being the case the Trust has followed up with Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Ltd., for manufacture of Papad in their well-known Brand with Lizzat. It is very happy to note that around 500 women presently take advantage of this activity and participate in making Lizzat Papad at Dandeli. The average income of each women is around Rs.100/- per day. The Trust expects to generate this activity to cover around 2000 women in the Dandeli Region.
