The minimum Educational Qualification for the Admission to above Trades is a pass in S.S.L.C. or equivalent Examination. An Entrance test will be conducted to assess the suitability of the candidates and the selection of the candidates will be purely on merit.

Examination and Certification

The Institute is affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi. The State Board of Examination, Department of employment & Training (Govt. of Karnataka) will conduct Examinations under Craftsmen Training Scheme. Exams will be conducted every year and certificates will be issued to the successful trainees.

Workshop Facilities

The workshops and labs of all Trades have all the modern machines and tools to give quality training.

The Welding shop : is equipped with highly sophisticated KEMPPI Welding Equipments like synergic TIG, synergic MIG inverter based MMAW power sources with clear control functions. These equipments have all the modern electronics to enhance the ability of the welder to produce repeatable quality welds and for imparting skill cum Technology up gradation program on Advanced TIG & MIG Welding.

The Institute has also tied up with Government Tool Room and Training Center Dandeli, Advanced Vocational Training Center, Government ITI, Hubli, Railway Workshop, Hubli for Laser welding and Electron beam welding.



Mechanic Refrigerator & Air conditioners (MRAC) : Lab is well equipped with sophisticate equipments like Ice candy plant, water coolers, cold storage plant, direct & Indirect A/C plant in addition to cut section models of Hermetic & open type compressors.

Dress Making : The Lab is provided with Piko machine, Buttonhole machine, Power operated sewing machines, Over lock machine, Industrial model sewing machines.


Electrical Lab : is provided with unique Electrical & electronic trainers and simulators to study & practice on AC & DC motors, generators, alternators, transformers, rectifiers, electrical wiring.

Fitter Workshop : is equipped with CNC & conventional lathes in addition to machinery & equipments & sophisticate measuring instruments to impart training on bench fitting, pipe fitting, turning operations, black smithy, drilling, sheet metal works etc.

Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) workshop : is equipped with conventional vehicles like Tata, Leyland, fiat, ambassador Qualis; two wheelers like Bajaz, Yezdi and cut models of VOLVO rear axle, gear box, power steering, diesel engines, petrol engines, along with latest Toyota engines.
