Details of Training Programme :
The Training programmes are classified in to four categories
viz., Agricultural EDPs, Product EDPs, Process EDPs and General EDPs.
Following are the details of illustrative training programmes being conducted
in our Institute:
Agricultural EDPs : Agricultural
allied activities, dairy, sheep rearing, poultry, bee-keeping, horticulture,
Sericulture, piggery, Mushroom cultivation etc.
Product EDPs : Dress
Designing for Men and Women, Rexine utility articles, agarbatti manufacturing
, woolen knitting, bag making, cane chair making, bakery products, leaf cup
making etc.
Process EDPs : Automobile
repair (two wheeler and four wheeler), Pump set repair, radio/TV repair, motor
rewinding, beautician, screen printing, photography and Videography , Photo
lamination, watch repair, domestic electrical appliances repair, computer
hardware, desktop publishing, book binding, Vehicle driving etc.
Process EDPs : Automobile
repair (two wheeler and four wheeler), Pump set repair, radio/TV repair, motor

.General EDPs : Rural
Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Entrepreneurship Development Programme
for Women, General Entrepreneurship Development Programme, PMRY EDP etc.
Method of Generation of Application:
a. Motivation/entrepreneurship awareness camps.
b. Constant extension counseling at rural/village areas.
c. Word of Mouth: The number of applications generated through word of mouth
is more. Sharing of information is intensive when a person talks to others.
d. Through Media: Publications of Calendar of training of Programme / announcing
of specific training programme by the Press Media, AIR and Television.
Selection Criteria: In order to avoid wastage of scarce
resources and to optimally utilize limited training facilities, selection
process of participants is crucial.
The Selection process is based on the Participants
a) Background
b) General Information
c) Role of Responsibility in the family
d) Inclination & Interest to undertake activity
e) Capacity to investment funds
This information received on various factors as above facilitates trainers
to select candidates and also to counsel them to select the proper EDPs.
In respect of skill development courses, candidates are
to be selected through personal interviews and some simple skill tests.
Methodology of Training:
1.8.1 The EDPs endeavor to change educate and equip a person
to become a successful Entrepreneur. The whole process envisages developing
the candidates’ talent qualities and skills and also equipping him /
her with other capacities. The fundamental aspects of any EDP founded by us
have the following phases:
a) Behavioral aspects
b) Technology (skills)
c) Skill to launch an enterprise
d) Skill to manage an enterprise.
Delivery Mechanism:
Role play, experience sharing, case studies, elicit information, formatting,
physical activities, enacting a skit, Psychological exercises / games viz.,
tower building, Ring Toss, Boat building, Rope game, Card game etc., field
visits, lecture on business opportunities, group discussion, interface with
banker, exercise on business plan preparation etc. We have systematic/ scientific
method of course modules for each and every EDPs.
